Why Microneedling with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)?
Microneedling with PRP–a collagen induction therapy–is an absolute must. It is one of the most beneficial anti-aging and skin rejuvenation treatments available. As we age, the natural function of the skin to produce collagen and elastin decreases leading to wrinkles, dullness, sagging, and damaged skin. This minimally-invasive procedure regenerates skin function to help prevent and reverse these signs of aging without the considerable risks and unpredictability of lasers and radiofrequency devices. The benefits vs. cost/downtime ratio are unmatched.
How does Microneedling with PRP work?
Microneedling with PRP uses the body’s healing process to help improve the overall look and function of your skin. During this procedure, a medical device with tiny, sterilized needles is used to enter the skin. By creating these controlled microinjuries, a wound healing cascade is initiated that signals your body to stimulate stem cells that enhance collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid production. As the skin repairs itself naturally (through a process called dermal remodeling), it rejuvenates itself from the inside out leading to a more youthful appearance.
What is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)?
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an organic serum derived from your own blood used to accelerate healing and effectiveness of your treatment. PRP is rich in growth factors that trigger cell reproduction and tissue regeneration to create new skin with increased collagen and elastin production. As an added benefit, PRP plays a vital role in the healing process. During your appointment, your blood will be drawn with a tiny needle and used to harvest and process your own plasma. This organic serum will then be infused into your skin at the appropriate depths using our medically advanced microneedling device.

Where can this treatment be used?
Any part of the body can benefit from this treatment. The most common areas for treatment are the face, neck, chest, and any area with acne or surgical scarring. Microneedling with PRP has also become a mainstay for treatment of hair thinning and hair loss.
What is the downtime?
Downtime is minimal and consists mainly of redness that typically resolves within 7-10 days.
How often should I do this procedure?
Because results are continually delivered for about six months, we typically recommend receiving this procedure twice each year. For more corrective treatments, such as acne scarring and stretch marks, a series of 3-6 treatments six weeks apart is recommended.
